Darkness detector is simply a LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) interfaced square wave generator. In this project the square wave generator is developed as a 555 Timer IC based ASTABLE MULTIVIBRATOR. Before going any further we must get the basic details on the LDR. The figure below shows an image of various types of LDR.

Getting Started with 8051 Microcontroller
If you are looking for a beginners guide on “How to start with 8051 Microcontroller”, here in this article I will show you how to work with 8051 microcontroller practically. I am not going into detail of “What is 8051 microcontroller”, or “How to write a c-program” etc., but the scope of this article is to tell about the hardware and software

Voltage Controlled Pulse Width Oscillator
The basic circuit operates at a frequency determined by R1, R2 and C1 and has a pulse width range of 0 to 100 percent.
The following diagram shows a basic circuit with an open collector output that would require a pull up resistor at its output. The parts values are the nominal values of the components used.

RFID Based Toll Plaza System
In this project we are going to design a RFID based toll plaza system for security purposes. So this system open gates and allow people only with the authorized RFID tags. The authorized tags holder ID’s are programmed in to the ATMEGA Microcontroller and only those holders are allowed to leave or enter the premises.

Hydrogen-Oxygen Bottle Rocket
Air-powered water rockets are easy to build and the fuel is free, but do you want to push the envelope? How about a two-stage water rocket? And instead of pressurized air, how about an explosive gas? I know the perfect gas to use.

10-Rail Model Rocket Mega-Launcher
Anyone who’s shivered in the dark at a scary movie or laughed at the unintentional cheese-ball of a bad sci-fi (paging Ed Wood) knows the eerie sounds of the theremin. In the classic theremin design, two antennas control pitch and volume, and you play the instrument by moving your hands near the antennas without touching them.

Tachometer using Arduino
Tachometer is a RPM counter which counts the no. of rotation per minute. There are two types of tachometer one mechanical and other one is digital. Here we are going to design an Arduino based digital tachometer using IR sensor module to detect object for count rotation of any rotating body

Arduino – Webserver with an Arduino + Ethernet Shield
This project is all about using an Arduino with an Ethernet shield. I’ll be controlling one LED and a servo, but you can apply this method to control any electronic device you want. (such as DC motors, buzzers, relays, stepper motors, etc..)

Astable multivibrator (LED flasher)
In this Instructable, I first demonstrate how to build the complete circuit on a breadboard using two NPN transistors and two LEDs. Once that circuit is built, I demonstrate how we can break the circuit out onto a circuit we will draw with your CircuitScribe pen!
